Drugs and the Mind

Many people underestimate the power of their minds and often fail to recognize the truth which is that we eventually become what we think we are. An attachment to this principle is – as a man thinks, so he shall be. For this very reason, people decide to go into drugs – they see their lives as hopeless and they launch themselves into a labyrinth of alcoholism, cocaine addiction and hopelessness. What we see today to highlight such actions are many drug rehabs scattered across the country trying to offer their services to help the drug addict break free from the downward road to drugs.

Ever since early inventions, mankind has been esteemed as being the most intelligent of all species, but with the rise of substance abuse rocking the world to pieces one really has to wonder if we have taken a look at our true mental potential. Why are there so many families that have been torn apart because of alcoholism and why is there always an increase in drug trafficking if we are called the most intelligent of species?

How to Never Give Up – Why Some People Refuse to Fail

Few weeks ago Anderson Cooper 360 of CNN interviewed Pastor Joel Osteen of Lakewood church in Texas asking why some brother fail and some make it. The Pastor answer was, the believe that there will be a better day, and having faith has a lot to do with it. Believers believe God will rescue you no matter you’re your present circumstances.

Does this kind of faith and believe come from family, religion, society teaching or one’s own desire and ambitious for a better life and contribution to the world? Well I think this is something both science and religion still trying to figure out. My believe is there is no one answer to this question because many factors can result in why few make it to the top and majority don’t.

Deliver Great Value

How can you make sure you receive abundance and prosperity? What is the key? There are many different components to reaching your dreams and achieving your desires. There are many different steps and techniques. But a fundamental principle is that you receive back what you give.

"Give and receive" has been a thread running throughout history and it holds true today. When you give people something they need and value, you’ll get back what you want. In general, that’s money. And it’s OK to want money. Just deliver awesome value to get it.

People have problems they need solved. They need inspiration, motivation, and to be uplifted. People need help getting organized, improving themselves, and learning new things. There are many different things people need, and you can probably help fill a need.

Do You Feel Lonely?

Somewhere recently I read, "if you want to get love you need to give love".

So, it follows that, if you are lonely you need to give your company to other people. I think this is true, we all live in a very busy world, and if you don’t get out there no one is going to come and find you – unless you invite them, and that is offering to share your company, isn’t it?

Try some or all of the following – yes, it will be hard, especially if you are shy as well as lonely, but you came here looking for something to help you make a difference, so here you go…. The longest journey begins with one step.

You Are Already Perfect

By Aimee Yawnick

As I build and strengthen my relationship with my self and my business, I grow ever closer to what my coach refers to as "profound clarity". With each new learning about myself, I get a new understanding about what I am meant to help my clients with on their journey.

While I was reading an article on vacation last week, I was struck so profoundly by a distinction that clarified my purpose even further. Although I do believe in the importance of developing one’s self, I believe it is far more important to first, ACCEPT one’s self. What became so clear to me is that my purpose is to help women first come to accept themselves as they are, for better or worse.

One of the governing principles of coaching is that we are all naturally, creative, resourceful and whole. There is no fixing necessary. When a client comes to me it is not because there is something broken or wrong with her. My job is to be the mirror that reflects my client’s brilliance back to her.

Are You One in 7 Billion People?

Are you one in 7 billion people, or are you one of 7 billion people? Are you ‘one in a million’ as the time honored compliment goes? Contrary to our pop culture of mega-personality worship, on-line and off-line, following and being followed, every person is unique. You are unique! Everyone counts, and you are counted, with dignity, respect and decency.

Are you one in the crowd? Or are you the one in the crowd that stands apart? Not because you are better. Because, you have the ability to teach, coach and develop others. You have the foresight to lead the way, and forge a new path.

Think of teenagers who are already millionaires or are well on their way. These are young adults who are way ahead of their older colleagues in real estate, business and ground breaking on-line technology.

We are, all one in 7 billion, while being one of 7 billion. Each one of us is a leader, while simultaneously giving respect to others and serving one another. Are you one of the leaders? Are you one in courage, hard work and absolute mind numbing persistence, who is making a difference in the world? Right where you are, what you are doing and where you are going. Somehow and someway.

Wow – what kind of impression did that start you off with? I bet you thought I was negative, depressing and had no consideration for what others think. Hmm… well than I guess I got your attention and I’ve definitely made my point.

Having a positive attitude has a major impact, not only on yourself but also on those around you. From the situation I just put you into, you can tell I merely made the situation of writing this article impossible and negative from the start. If I continued on with such negativity, I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to finish it. Also, not only did I start myself off with a negative attitude, I also made you feel like the article wasn’t going to be worth your time, let alone valuable or positive.

Right from the start, as you sought advice or content on a positive attitude, you were probably wondering how this article would pertain. Of course, you wanted to leave instantly – no one wants to be around someone who is constantly negative and wears them down. If you want to be happy, if you want to build relationships, and if you want people to listen and trust in what you are saying – you need to have a positive attitude.

So, now that I’ve made my point, let’s expand on the process of obtaining a positive attitude that leaves a lasting impression, not one that makes people run.
