		<description><![CDATA[Do you believe in karma? I really do believe that wanting something for nothing has a tendency to back-fire.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My mum cuts articles out of the newspaper for my brother and I and gives us quite a stack of reading most weeks. She is, as my brother says &quot;spot on&quot;; she knows exactly what will be of interest to us and she saves both of us trawling through papers in search of what is relevant. She does, however, also include items which she thinks we should be aware of.</p>
<p>The latter items tend to focus upon the community in terms of what is wrong in the world today. I don&#8217;t think my mum feels differently from the majority of those of her generation (or younger). You hear phrases such as &quot;what is the world coming to?&quot; or &quot;your father always said that this would happen&quot;. These articles centre around how the National Health Service in the UK just cannot survive for much longer or how a single mum who has five children costs the British tax payer £7,000 every month. You get the picture.</p>
<p>I have to admit that I don&#8217;t like to read these articles. I have this feeling that I don&#8217;t want to know and this is because I feel helpless. What can I do to make it any better? I also have a sense that the more thought energy you put into how &quot;bad&quot; things are, the worse they will become. I prefer to distract myself and try to focus on things that I can help with, and try to emit thought energy which has a &quot;feel good&quot; factor.</p>

<p>I know the &quot;system&quot; in the UK could be said to encourage a lot of people to think that they are entitled to something for nothing. There are many lessons taught upon &quot;how to play the system&quot;. There are people who claim single person benefits when they are not single, or assistance for children who are not living with them, or who try to &quot;kid&quot; the system into providing them with a council house which they should not really be entitled to. But, I also have a firm belief that what goes around comes around.</p>
<p>If you take from someone else, you will be taken from too. If you claim benefits which you do not really need and in effect take from others who are more in need than you, then a similar thing will happen to you at some time in the future. It might not happen next week or even next year, but sometime those &quot;misdeeds&quot; will come home to roost. I do believe in Karma and this perhaps is why I do attempt to ignore those articles which get brought to my attention on a weekly basis.</p>
<p>My mum gets completely infuriated by them. How does this help? All I see is her getting upset and anxious. To me that is adding more negative energy to something unnecessarily. I refuse (on the majority of occasions) to be drawn in to this bad feeling. I, whether rightly or wrongly, believe that my energy is better spent on &quot;trusting in karma&quot; and focusing upon things which feel good and positive in life.</p>
<p>Every thought you have has energy. If you want the world to be a better place, then you need to focus upon thoughts which leave you with a &quot;feel good&quot; sensation and not upon ones which leave you feeling upset.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Each of us has spare hours in every week &#8211; about thirty of them to be exact. This includes all the time we have discretionary choice over. And though we may trick ourselves into believing we have no time left, the truth is rather revealing, even compelling.</p>
<p>Come. Let&#8217;s unfold some time together.</p>
<p>What are we going to do with this notional thirty hours per week (if we&#8217;re not otherwise committed to other discretionary tasks already)? I&#8217;m implying choice here.</p>
<p>These discretionary hours are considered after our non-discretionary time is spent: most of us need to include eight hours for sleep; ten hours, five days a week for work and travel to and from; and, then say three hours per day for meals and catching up with loved ones and friends.</p>
<p>Using what&#8217;s left responsibly is up to each one of us as individuals to decide.</p>

<p><b>Spare Time &#8211; What&#8217;s That?</b></p>
<p>And this itself is the key. With so many potentially gorgeous things to get our teeth into, chances are we&#8217;ve already become swallowed to a passion or two &#8211; but are these things you? Without trying to dissuade you, there is only one person who can decide. It does, of course, take reflection, insight and courage to change &#8211; if change is considered necessary.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s your life. Nobody can really complain for having insufficient time. It&#8217;s ironic that many of the busiest and most productive people don&#8217;t ever complain about not having enough time.</p>
<p>That complaint is a nonsense much of the time &#8211; an excuse we shouldn&#8217;t buy into.</p>
<p><b>Optimising Each Hour</b></p>
<p>We can optimise every hour of the day and not be rushed one little bit. We&#8217;ll simply be making our life work more productively and we&#8217;ll experience more joy and fulfilment as a result of stoking the furnace of our hearts with joy and optimism.</p>
<p>But we do need to break down our hours and begin to plan. This means starting out manually, making lists and breaking down and analysing our days &#8211; if we&#8217;re serious.</p>
<p><b>Ten Minutes</b></p>
<p>What if we disassembled each hour into six segments? We&#8217;d all of a sudden have up to 180 discreet blocks of time to do many good things well. This is what explains the productivity of some; they use this incredibly vast resource of time really well.</p>
<p>(That&#8217;s 1,800 minutes per week. That&#8217;s a lot of minutes. Every week.)</p>
<p>We can achieve an immense amount in ten solitary minutes if we&#8217;re focused and motivated, splitting even the minutes and seconds. This isn&#8217;t about us rushing about all in a fluster. It&#8217;s simply being as efficient and diligent as possible.</p>
<p><b>A Final Word on Rest</b></p>

		<title>How to Prioritize and Make Life Easier</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Life happens. Things must get done. How? By prioritizing. When you prioritize, you determine the order of importance of your tasks and then set about getting them done. But often, it seems as if we have too much on our plate and that we&#8217;ve bitten off more than we can chew. Speaking of chewing, the other day I called a realtor friend of mine to find out what new and interesting things had been happening in the real estate market. And I asked her to talk to some other agents to get their insight and then call me back with all the juicy details.</p>
<p>Well, a couple of days went by and I had not heard back from her so I called her up to chew her out. And much to my surprise, she chewed right back! &quot;I&#8217;ve been so busy. I had a home inspection this morning. I have to go back to the office to prepare for a listing presentation. I have to drive my son to his baseball game.&quot; And she went on to name a half dozen more things she had on her plate. (Sidebar: Another friend of mine once told me she was talking to a friend and was telling him how she was overloaded with all the things she had to do and that she just had too much on her plate. He responded by saying, &quot;The problem is not that you have too much on your plate, the problem is that you&#8217;re not eating fast enough!&quot;)</p>
<p>So, that got me to thinking about the importance of prioritizing. Because at times, with all the things we have to do, tasks can seem overwhelming. Prioritizing can make things more manageable. Here are some tips for staying sane in an insane world:</p>

<p><b>1. Do a Brain Dump. </b>    <br />Think about what you want to accomplish. With your goals in mind, write everything down. You can focus on short-term, intermediate, or long-term goals or all of them. You can focus on one aspect of your life or all of them. You decide. But do not include routine tasks such as &quot;eat lunch&quot; or &quot;use the bathroom.&quot;</p>
<p><b>2. Make a To-Do List. </b>    <br />Not just any list, but a list that includes sub-lists and categorizes tasks into: Hot, Warm, Cool, Cold, Back Burner.     <br />a. <i>Hot List</i>. The Hot list should include top priorities. These are tasks that are important and urgent. It should consist of things that have to get done today or tomorrow.     <br />b. <i>Warm List</i>. The Warm list should include tasks that are important and have to be done soon, but not necessarily today or tomorrow.     <br />c. <i>Cool List</i>. The Cool list should include tasks that are somewhat important, but which you have some time to complete. For example, you&#8217;re attending a fundraiser in two weeks and you need to buy a new suit to wear.     <br />d. <i>Cold List</i>. The Cold list should include low-priority tasks. These are tasks that you would like to accomplish, but time is not of the essence.     <br />e. <i>Back Burner List</i>. The Back Burner list should include tasks that&#8230; well, should be put on the back burner. These may include tasks you&#8217;ve been trying to accomplish for a long time, but just never seem to get done. Or tasks that should be delegated to someone else. Or tasks that belong on your bucket list instead of your to-do list (e.g., things like climbing Mount Everest or visiting the Grand Canyon).</p>
<p>As you create your lists, rank tasks in order of importance. So, for example, on the Hot list, the most important task would be ranked 1 or H1. The next most important task would be 2 or H2 and so on.</p>
<p>Remember the lists are fluid and can be edited at any time. For example, a task that is on the Warm list today may need to be moved to the Hot list tomorrow. Update the lists as necessary.</p>
<p>3. <b>Take Action</b>. A wise person once said, &quot;If you do nothing, nothing happens.&quot; So after you&#8217;ve prioritized, it&#8217;s time to take action. Before scheduling each task into your day, week, month, or year, consider the following:     <br />• How much time will it take to complete the task?     <br />• Deadlines and due dates.     <br />• Level of difficulty. What is involved in completing the task? What resources will you need? Where will you have to go? Will you have to make calls? Send emails? Is money required?     <br />• Who else is depending on you to get the task done?     <br />• Consequences. What are the advantages of successfully completing the task? What will happen if you do not complete the task or do not complete it on time?     <br />• What is the return on your investment of time, energy, and resources?     <br />• What is the likelihood of completing the task within the prescribed deadline?     <br />• How will you accomplish the task? Is there a learning curve or do you know what to do?</p>
<p>Compiling the lists in order to prioritize tasks will clarify things. With clarity comes direction. With direction comes the ability to move definitively toward the goal: an organized, less stressful life in which, ideally, you never have too much on your plate.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We talked about having visions aligned with your value. So how does one know her core values? Great question. Time for another simple exercise together.</p>
<p>Who is your hero (idol)? Do not think too much, just name the first person that comes to mind.</p>
<p>Next, ask &quot;What do you admire about him/her?&quot; Is it her work? Her character? Her contribution? Again do not think too much, just write it down.</p>
<p>There on your piece of paper you have identified the traits or characters that you admire and and therefore value. These are your core values that you subconsciously cherish and give weight to.</p>
<p>Now you can do this exercise again and ask &quot;Who else do you admire and why?&quot;</p>

<p>Go through and notice if there is any noticeable trend. When you see a few characters or traits recurring, you now know with more certainty the things that you fundamentally value and would like to have in your life (or at least to pursue).</p>
<p>Simple exercise, right? Yet it provides great insight. Now that you know why you admire your hero, I have another question for you. How is knowing your value going to help you in living a more fulfilling and stress-free life?</p>
<p>Check and see if what you do daily are in alignment with developing the values you have just identified. Things you do at work and at home. If your life constantly requires you to be or do things that are contrary to the values you cherish, you are going to suffer tension and pressure pulling you in different direction.</p>
<p>Next step: as we build ourselves up on our core values we want to also look for ways to pass on these values to others around us. When we add value to others&#8217; lives, we are going to find strength and vitality to live through tiring and challenging days. There will be a joy in our steps even as we go through trials because we know that the present discipline is worthy of the future prize. Our vision will strengthen us to work towards our dream.</p>
<p>However, when there is a conflict between your values and your work or life; you are going to dislike, even resent the things you do and sometimes the person that you are. There will be frustration and pressure and you are not going to be happy.</p>
<p>So make use of the exercise above and dig deeper about the things that you value in your life. Whether it is a character trait, a thing or a state of being.</p>
<p>Then go live a life or purpose and joy, doing what you like and are passionate about. And any challenges that come your way will not be perceived as a dead end. You will find the key to overcome the apparent challenges. Try it and experience the fulfillment it brings.</p>

Does the mental chatter begin that says negative things about you and to you? Do you begin to feel inadequate and stupid? Have you ever considered that the other person may have spent more time practicing this task and thus has more advanced skills? So, if this is true, might it also be true that with more practice you could perform this task equally as well? Yes, that is true!</p>
<p>If you flip into negative thinking the task will become impossible to complete or to conquer. Thinking positive thoughts helps us to perform our tasks better. Think of the first time you had to program your cell phone? Did you know what to do? Did you give up or were you persistent and committed to the outcome? Did you stay positive with thoughts that said &quot;I will figure this out &#8211; I know I will.&quot; Now if you were presented with programming a new cell phone, it might be a different model, but you would not feel intimidated by the process. Correct?</p>

<p>Our brains are the center of our lives. We have over 50,000 thoughts per day. Just because a thought passes through your consciousness does not mean it is the truth. You can learn to challenge these negative thoughts and beliefs. A couple of simple phrases I use to challenge specific thoughts are &#8211; &quot;thank you for sharing,&quot; or &quot;cancel&quot;, or &quot;dismiss.&quot; Remember, a thought is only a thought not a call to action nor does the thought have any more meaning than the meaning you give to the thought.</p>
<p>As you approach new challenges, quiet your mind and pull forth those positive words and phrases that will support you in performing well. Begin to reprogram your thoughts &#8211; it is your brain &#8211; learn to manage it more efficiently. People believe this is impossible. Really? If we are not in charge of our thoughts, who is in charge?</p>
<p>As you begin to communicate with your thoughts you will begin to control the outcome of your results. Your thoughts have become part of you based on past experiences. We also hold on to other peoples&#8217; comments to us that might reinforce our negative self- talk. Change your thoughts, change your life.</p>
<p>Your self-identity is driven by your brain and how it has been programmed to think. Even though you failed at a task earlier in life; such as public speaking, does not mean you can not be a spectacular public speaker. Because this belief lives in your brain and, again, you are in charge of your brain. Practice positive self-talk and re-programming your brain.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In practice and in life, everyone desires to reach the peak as defined by each. The peak you desire could be different from your colleague or best friend. But, we all have a peak in mind.</p>
<p>If you think of the &quot;peak&quot; as a mountain, you begin in the valley and then you begin to scale the side of the mountain until you reach the top&#8230; the peak of the mountain. when you arrive at the peak&#8230; the celebration begins!</p>
<p>If you were to take a mountain climbing course, you would learn how to safely scale the mountain using a number of skills and tools needed for the climb. Depending on the mountain, will determine the amount of training and practice you will need. Scaling the hill in your backyard is different than heading to the peak of Mt. Everest.</p>

<p>C.L.I.M.B.</p>
<p>To arrive at your desired peak, you must begin climbing and continue to climb until you reach the peak.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how to use C.L.I.M.B to reach your peak:</p>
<p>C &#8211; You must be willing to CLIMB. C is for Climb.</p>
<p>L &#8211; Live in the Moment. You must live in the moment or you could slip and fall off the mountain.</p>
<p>I &#8211; Inspirational&#8230; you must inspire yourself and others. Climbing is a team effort.</p>
<p>M &#8211; Motivated. You must want to reach the peak and be motivated with passion.</p>
<p>B &#8211; Belief. You must believe that you can actually reach the peak.</p>
<p><strong>Climb</strong></p>
<p>To reach the top, you must be willing to begin climbing. Duh! You demonstrate your willingness when you open and continue to practice chiropractic in your marketplace. During your climb you can get bogged down by a number of elements. You may need to halt the climb and you make up for it when storm clears.</p>
<p><strong>Live</strong></p>
<p>You must learn to live in the moment. You can climb a mountain when you look down or in the past. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not arrived. You must live today. In the moment. Ask &quot;What&#8217;s Important Now?&quot; When you get in the moment and guide your decisions with W.I.N., you will reach the peak faster and safer.</p>
<p><strong>Inspire</strong></p>
<p>As the leader of your practice, you must be inspired to reach the peak and more importantly, you must inspire your climbing team to embrace your desired outcome. If your team is uninspired, you will be left dangling by a rope when you lose your footing.</p>
<p><strong>Motivation</strong></p>
<p>Without motivation, the desire, the passion, you cannot reach your peak. What motivates you? You need to build this into your climb. You need benchmarks along the way to inspire your motivation. You need to reward yourself and your tou. Passion and stamina are twins. When you have passion, it fuels your motivation to overcome all the obstacles that you encounter along the climb to the peak. Your motivation could be a physical or spiritual or a combination. But it must be motivational and have clarity. The clearer your motivation, the easier to stay focused on the climb.</p>
<p><strong>Believe</strong></p>
<p>Don&#8217;t even begin the climb unless you truly, honestly, with certainty, believe that you can reach the peak. Regardless of the amount of training,, coaching or tools you have, if you don&#8217;t believe in yourself, you will falter and potentially experience a devastating fall&#8230; losing everything.</p>
<p>You must look in the mirror and go deep into who you are. You must know what your purpose is professionally and personally and then begin your climb based on what you believe possible.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s not limit on how you can climb, but, you must believe you can complete the climb to the peak.</p>

The present messages you may receive from the media and other people at times convey a sense of lack and scarcity when in fact we have a Universe that has a potential for endless opportunities.</p>
<p>When you have an Abundant mentality you celebrate the beauty of mankind. The possibilities for tapping everyone&#8217;s potential. The beauty to be found in each individual person. The awe and respect you must have for life that presents you with so many challenges and opportunities to grow as a person.</p>
<p>In our fear of loosing out in life we may tend to be distrustful of life, believing that only material riches can provide us with security and satisfaction. We may cynically comment that the Golden rule of reality is that only those who have most gold and riches in life will be able to have successful and happy lives.</p>

<p>This mentality can only foster a paradigm of Scarcity and lack of opportunities. With such a mind state our fear of loosing out will restrain us from taking risks to succeed or to help others out.</p>
<p>Success requires a change in the way we view life, a shift to a state of mind that is free from restrictions of a Scarcity mentality. People with a scarcity mentality tend to believe there is only so much resources available in the world; and if someone else has it, that means there will be less for them. On the other hand people with an Abundance mentality, are genuinely happy for the successes, achievements, and good fortune of other people.</p>
<p>If you have an Abundance Mentality you do not guard your boundaries and hoard your knowledge or your skills &#8211; you are not afraid that others will steal your status. You do not live in fear; because there is enough out there for everyone. Your success doesn&#8217;t mean failure for others. On the contrary, the more successful you are, the more others are affected in a positive way. You are happy when friends and associates prosper.</p>
<p>In situations which can lead to potential conflict or confrontation you look for a &quot;win/win&quot; solution.</p>
<p>An abundance mentality will take you beyond a positive mental attitude. It will eliminate small thinking and offset negative energy. Rather than dwelling on what you do not have you will start simply to appreciate what you already have.</p>
<p>This will not only turn a sour mood into a more positive one but it can also help you notice possibilities you have missed or forgotten.</p>
<p>People with an abundance mentality believe the following:</p>
<p>- The more I give, the more I will receive and the more there is to give.    <br />- The more I use time effectively, the more I find time.&quot;     <br />- The more I know, the more there is to know. &#8211; People are great. They will help me reach my goals. &#8211; If I need ideas, the ideas will come.</p>
<p>With an abundance mentality you take responsibility for your own growth. Neither good nor bad events are mindlessly attributed to external causes or blamed on other people. Rather than trying to find blame on others you question why a situation happened and get to the root cause. You then gear your mind towards solutions not problems. Such a mentality will pave the way for you to willingly contribute and put yourself in a resourceful state not only for yourself but also in the service of others. But how can you create an Abundance mentality?</p>
<p>Well for one thing, avoid associating with people who have a scarcity mentality. Be selective with what you put into your mind. Do not listen to trash programs that tend to spread negative vibes around. Create your own environment of abundance. Even if it feels like you have a scarcity right now, you can turn that around by reminding yourself of all the things to appreciate in your life.</p>
<p>Act as if you are already experiencing the benefits of abundance. Treat yourself to things you enjoy- even if you cannot afford them regularly, but at least enjoy an abundance moment once in a while. Go to a very good restaurant and enjoy a gourmet meal, take a holiday and stop thinking about your wallet for a while. Do not focus on the idea that you are short on money &#8211; focus on the benefits that you have and the opportunities that you are abundantly attracting. This does not mean that you go out and overspend yourself. Responsibility is always a virtue. However do not Scrooge yourself into a scarcity mentality. Live life to the full and know that Providence will provide to those who live a life of gratitude and expectation.</p>
<p>If you catch yourself being guarded with others and trying to protect your knowledge or information, try and fight this tendency. Be generous and share your information. You will feel so much bigger and better for it.</p>
<p>Read, listen to and watch personal development material. These are the fuel that will nourish your Abundance mentality. Have a positive attitude to the abundance and success of your friends, family and co-workers.</p>
<p>As you build your levels of Abundance in your mind you will find it easier to contribute to others and to a Higher Cause. Your sense of abundance will spill over and positively affect those around you; and finally it will flow back to you again.</p>

The biggest home and the fanciest car. There is also the endless flow of cash, and world travel.</p>
<p>They see prosperity as only the things that money can buy. So many fail to look inside them and see what it is that really makes them rich. It is as if they are out to sabotage themselves with faulty thinking. Here are ways in which to destroy that misconception.</p>
<p>1. We Are Undeserving.</p>
<p>The fact that we see ourselves as undeserving will give us an inherent attitude of unworthiness. When we see ourselves as losers; losers we will be.</p>

<p>2. Family Beliefs</p>
<p>This is the lot in life that was handed to you and this is what you must learn to accept. Rubbish! Some of today&#8217;s wealthiest citizens came from nothing, but refused to stay there. Fortunately, good self help motivation will destroy that wrong belief very quickly</p>

<p>Oh yes, of course, the Rockefellers have been rich for years. Some self help motivation books tell stories of that family. The truth is that at one time there was a Rockefeller who made the money that the rest of them were born with.</p>

<p>Yes, it can be. Still, there are many who would not choose to live otherwise. If you are not content with your lot in life seek out ways to change it.</p>
<p>8. Limited Aspirations.</p>
<p>The only limits to prosperity are the ones you set. Have you ever looked for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Of course, there is nothing there but is there any reason why we cannot enjoy the walk.</p>
<p>9. Never Forget To Have Fun.</p>
<p>Prosperity is boundless in this aspect. It doesn&#8217;t matter how much money you have in your pocket.
